What Data Does Chatzyo Collect? (Full Breakdown)

Technical Audit Report CZ-104 | Updated April 2026

Transparency is the cornerstone of trust in random video chat. While CHATZYO is a "No-Login" platform, certain technical data points must be processed to facilitate WebRTC connections and maintain platform safety. This guide provides a clinical audit of exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and how long it persists. Our Coimbatore-based engineering team ensures all collection is minimized to the absolute functional limit.

1. Categorization of Data

We divide data into three categories: **Essential Functional Data**, **Safety/Moderation Data**, and **Analytics Data**. We strictly **DO NOT** collect Personally Identifiable Information (PII) like names, emails, or phone numbers.

Data Point Category Purpose Retention
IP Address Functional WebRTC Handshake & Regional Routing Transient (Cleared after session)
Hardware Hash Safety Banning Repeat Offenders Persistent (Blacklisted devices only)
Browser/OS Functional Optimizing Video Stream Quality Session-only
Language Pref Functional Matching with Hindi, Tamil, etc. Session-only

2. Safety and Moderation Data

To protect users in USA Chat and India Chat, our safety system generates "Moderation Hashes." As explained in our How Moderation Works guide, if our AI detects a violation, it creates a temporary snapshot of the session metadata.

Important: If no violation is reported or detected, this metadata is overwritten in the server's volatile memory every 3 seconds. We do not store logs of who you talked to or for how long.

3. Use of Google Analytics (GTAG)

We use G-J8VTDTSPPJ to monitor high-level traffic patterns (e.g., "How many people visited the UK Chat room today?"). This data is anonymized by Google before we see it and cannot be used to identify a specific individual or their specific chat content.

4. Data Sharing Policy

CHATZYO does not sell user data to third-party advertisers. Because we do not collect PII, we have no "identity profiles" to sell. We only share data with law enforcement if presented with a valid legal mandate related to a hardware-fingerprinted violation in compliance with Indian IT laws.

Conclusion

Our data collection policy is clinical: collect only what is needed to make the video call work and keep the community safe. For more information, please read our full Privacy Policy or contact our data protection lead in Coimbatore.
